Govt Employees , Pensioner holding BPL Cards asked to surrender or face action
The jammu and kashmir food civil supplies and consumer affairs department has issued the warning againist govt employees and pensioners holding bpl ration card they were asked to surrender as the earliest otherwise face action
During the re verification of ration cardsFCS&CA Officials have found that many ineligible households in the jammu and kahmir had priority Household PHH ration cards known as BPL which allowed them to receive highly subsided ration supplies in violation of law .

PHH ration card allows the bearer to buy up to 5kg of food grains per family member each month at discounted costs
PHH ration card holders can purchase rice Rs 3 per kg wheat rs 2 per kg and coarse grain rs 1 per kg PDS in the jammu and kashmir presently provides coverage to 24.92 lakh house holds 97.53 beneficiaries
of these 1433,024 PHH Ration card holders comprise 5729395 beneficiaries
Director FS&CA Said we have issued an ultimum to government employees and economically sound persons to surrender phh ration cards at the earliest
